Many years ago, I used to buy a magazine type of thing that had little bits of doll's furniture/house to put together each week......you know one of those "seemed like a good idea at the time" type of things. Well I never completed the house or all of the furniture but I did keep what furniture I had made. My little grand-daughter thought it would be good to have a doll's house to put it in so trying to think of a cheap and fun way, we ended up making a house from empty nappy boxes. She loves it so I thought I would like to "scrap" It. ![]() I cut my base piece using Fancy Pants My Family (uncle) to the 8.5 x 11 size. Then I cut a roof from kraft cardstock and an insert for the roof from the FP My family (uncle). ![]() I attached the roof to the base overlapping the base by about 1/2". ![]() Then I just cut off the corners of the base as it met with the roof and added a piece of FP My Family (reunion) paper. ![]() I'm going to put my LO into a 8.5x11 plastic sleeve by slitting the side edge of the sleeve so that the roof can poke through but you could easily just make a house base and roof and mount it onto a 12x12 backing. ![]() I've also used Fancy Pants ribbons and buttons. Some flowers, paint, mist and alphas. |
