thank you girls ...... i really have had a great day surrounded by awesome friends and family (minus DH --away at work ..and 2 x DD ... one lives on sunshine coast and the other is at uni in brissy =(.... but i did get chats in with all of them of course). Went Bowling with the DS & DD (that are still at home) and ex sister in law and her family, was given a great big bunch of flowers, which got me a bit teary cause i was really suprised they would even remember and her daughter (to her new husband) give me a hug and said you can be my aunty sammi too...awwweeee sooooo tute!!!, went out to dinner at the water bar and grill last night with girls that i work with, my DS had a love heart welded to my muffler today while i was shopping!!! my eldest DD sent me super mario for the Wii (and i have been kicking all the kids in the neighbourhood butts this arvo cause i am the Wii master )and i was blessed with a few more gifts and heaps of phone calls ..... which was pretty amazing considering i was thinking it was just "stealthing" under the radar!!!
and this lovely little post to top it off ....so thank you, you bunch of lovelies.

Sounds like you've had a lovely few days Sammi - I don't really quite understand why anyone would want to shy away from Birthdays - they can be so much fun

Thanks everyone and belated happy birthday too Sammi - sounds like you had a great celebration.
mine was a bit quieter, but included eating cheesecake at Mungalli Dairy and having dinner with Mum and Trisha and our hubbies which was lots of fun. AND there's a gift voucher to spend in Babinda this weekend - Yay
