Just wanted to say, Boasting therapy - lmbo!! This is the neatest concept ever. Boasting therapy!! I have no idea why but this really makes me giggle! I love this idea, its so unique!

So heres my boast because, well just because, we need an update in here, and hanged if I'm going to let a forum sit like this...

I probably should have put this in here to begin with, my layout being in Scrapbooking Memories, but... not expecting anything lol, I know you all responded in another thread but who else is doing something scrapbooking or cardmaking that they are very happy about?

I love having a bit of a boast. We all work so hard and put so much heart into our LOs that when we get recognised for them we deserve to make sure everyone knows!!!

Oh oh I'll jump in here to... I have my very first layout published in the current issue of scrapbooking memories... Yay!!!

Have never considered subbing - I always find the layouts I like the best tend to be the ones I dont share with the world - journailling is a big part of scrapping for me but good on you girls for giving it a go and being successful at it

Sure hope you are doing our challenges and entering them in the gallery Helen - sounds like you will have a good chance to take home a prize at the end of the month with all that experience behind you

I hope to enter the challenges, but unfortunately our computer has blown *something*, no idea what, waiting for someone to come and check it out. In the mean time, I have to come down to the radio station and use the computer in the office (which of course is a bit of a drive). Course, all my photos and photoshop program etc are not accessable... grrrr...

Experience, lol, maybe, but out of practice, most definately! I think that one I had accepted was a fluke! lol! Though am working on one now that is coming together nicely.

OK, I'm embarrassed to say this, and you all might not know what it is anyway, so its probably no biggie, but I was a creating keepsakes (USA) magazine hall of famer way back in 2004. LOL! Even more embarrassing seeing that I am SOOO out of practice now.

I don't have the magazine, being in Australia, I wasn't able to bring everything with me from the US. My dad was dying and I had to get down here fast. But the magazine itself was not a regular issue, it was an annual special hall of fame book, that showcased the winners, their layouts etc, and was released in August 2004. Hall of fame was a contest similar to the one Scrapbooking memories have each year (google CK scrapbooking hall of fame - you'll probably come up with the fiasco that occurred in 2007, but you'll get the idea of how big it was lol)

After that fiasco, Creating Keepsakes took down the HOF (hall of fame) contest and deleted all the past winners from 2007 back to 1999 from thier website, so I can't even show you my pic on CK anymore!

However, I do have a scrapresume (if you google 'helen mccain scrapbook resume' or go to my blog willowandwattlecreative.com its on there also

After that contest I was flung into the world of scrapbooking overnight, and designed for companies like Scenic Route, Inque Boutique and was on the DT for CK magazine for a couple of years, also contributed to several idea books... maybe the special issues of CK such as the Christmas issue in 2004 has some of my stuff in it...basically any issue almost from late 2004 and 2005-2006 will have my work in them..I honestly can't remember all of them.

I'm back in the US now, but all our stuff is in storage. I'll try to find the book and take pics. It might take me a little while as I have no idea where it is LOL!

ok, I got intrigued as to what info i could find to show I actually was an HOFer, so I found this link to a post someone wrote ages ago. I had no idea that we had a CK Celebrity amongst us. I must live under a rock and I haven't heard of the 2007 fiasco but I'll be googling now.

Don't trouble too much about finding the mag. It'll turn up some stage when you unpack. Other things are far more important!!
