Oh NO! the poor little thing! HORRID ticks! Your poor parents must be devastated! :cry:

My pussycat wont leave the house so luckily his chance of getting a tick is zero. I leave the doors open, and the most he will do - is get the nerve about once a month to go out our front door, race around to the back door and in again (or vice versa) :roll: The thought of being shut outside is traumatising to him. (he's a re-educated ex-feral) I'm sure he thinks he will be returned to his former life if stuck outside. :roll:

A few years back, my kitty kat was picking them up quite a bit so I do check her regularly although (cross fingers) none for quite awhile now.

Abi was mostly an indoor dog but mum used to let her outside when she was gardening. Never had any trouble with the Golden Retriever we used to have but Abi was a lap dog (not sure of the breed) - quite small. Dad said they were only home from the vet about an hour before she passed...
