Morning all...far out it's chilly here. Yesterday it was 4deg at 6am..this morning, not much better at 6deg.
Trisha/Pussycat...I used to start Christmas in June for that very reason. somewhere along the line it stopped. Must get "back into it" so I'm better prepared....I've often wondered about that expression too Trisha. Must google it and see when/where it started...it's probably old english folklore, like saying "White Rabbits" (see--->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_rabbit_rabbit)

Definition of pinch and a punch for the first of the month Etymology: Originating from old England times when people thought that witches existed. People thought that salt would make a witch weak, so the pinch part is pinching of the salt, and the punch part was to banish the witch. The witch would be weak from the salt so the punch was to banish her.
Ant...my "little" man (now as tall as me!) is 13 this month I'm interested PL...I must look into the price of albums and read up how it works.
Sounds like you're having a great time Christine.I hope you get some good weather before you have to leave to come home...
Lucky you having a break away Helen...especially scrapping. Last weekend was the annual Scrap Camp in Dunedin, NZ...I couldn't afford to go this time
Kay..I'm so behind on all the challenges so that's not an issue for me hehe...
Mandy..I've been following Revenge. Love it too!
Not sure what I'll do today. Got the electrician coming this morning and my mum always stops in after her exercise group, brings lunch for us. I really should work on some sewing projects. The garden needs my attention too.
Have a great day!

Wow thanks for the definition Julze, it is interesting to find out these things. Have an enjoyable lunch with your mother.
Christine, enjoy your wonderful holidays and take lots of pics in spite of the weather. Perhaps we could ask Tiff about doing a month on photography in low light situations such as outside when the weather is dull and a flash is not useful.
Helen come back we miss you.
Ant, 13 year olds .... shudder.
Just had the climate smart guy here to check our electricity use and he gave me some stand-by eliminators to use so that while the tv etc. is not being used it is not using any power. More money for scrapping!!
Just realised it's Friday, can't wait for tonight. I must have missed this in the past but are we doing blind scraps?
Thanks Trisha - I am having a good time. Less than a week left - it's gone so quickly!
I'm ok-ish photographing in low light (I've learnt heaps of editing in Picasa this month!) but I don't like having the camera out in the rain (it's on loan).
I'm hoping to get out to the tower one night over the weekend and have a go at some night shots!
Looking forward to the reveals tonight - I should have plenty of creative time later in the month when I'm home.
I've been missing the blind scraps too - maybe they're not on at the moment?
survived my 3 days at work this week now 3 days off
My plan is to garden for 2 mornings, catch up with friends in the afternoon/nights, then a day to get the craft desk back in order and get some things done. Will be good.
I am a bit late coming back to see what has been revealed as I was watching the Cowboys win first. Yee Haaa! I have started making an address book today, I have been looking in the shops but those don't seen to have enough space especially now that most couples have a mobile each, an email address and work phone numbers. We will see how it goes over the next few days.

sounds fabulous Trisha - got to agree though... address book formatting sure has changed!
Hmmn Helen, the blind scraps.... my problem is that I dont finish work until 8.30pm each night now (except for fri nights) so me being able to run one is near impossible other than the weekend. Not sure how many would be about for that though.
Ohh Julz how is the attitude at 13! I can't deal with 3 year old attitude haha!
Not too bad, being a boy...my DD's have been ..."challenging" at times so I'm a little season now ..LOL! I agree with Mandy...what they are like at 3 is very similiar to how they are at 13.
Only a week left, Christine?? Wow..time sure does fly! Enjoy the rest of your time away.
The blind scraps were fun..unfortunately for me and the time difference I couldn't always manage to stay awake for them. The weekend would work better for me, Mandy!
Enjoy your gardening Helen. I have some primula seedlings I want to get planted today...but will wait until the sun is around the front of the house to do it I think.
Do share pics of your address book Trisha! Hey that book you recommended arrived during the week. Looks awesome..hopefully I can start reading it this weekend.
Of course we've missed you Julie! {{hugs}} i'm glad you are back online (but you better get off...there's a train coming HAHA..plonk! Sorry...couldn't resist hehe!)
Beautiful sunny albeit, chilly morning here. Got some washing on...dishes "soaking" and animals fed breakfast. Will make soap this morning then a little gardening. I'm hoping to have a start on this months Room challenges as i didn't get around to doing last months. The next door neighbours (a bunch of male teenagers!) like to party Fri/Sat. so I'm probably not going to make it much past 8pm before I'll be wanting to crawl into bed by then...only to get woken up with them making a racket again!

Welcome back Julie ! Being without the internet is no fun LOL.
I don't envy you with your neighbours Julze ... lack of sleep is torture. My 3yo DS has been waking us several times every night with nightmares lately & it's taking its toll.
My plan for this long weekend is to have a big day today cleaning walls then steam clean the carpets then spend the other two days scrapping. Have a great weekend everyone !
Julie, you have been missed, good to see back online. Mandy, blind scraps would be great on any day, I for one usually am free most nights but others may be busy. Julze, I hope you find the book helpful, I sure did. Its hard when the neighbours are noisy, especially regularly. My neighbours tend to fight sometimes, I turn up my music just enough so that I can't hear what they are saying. Vickie enjoy your days scrapping.
For the address book I have made the inner pages in word [the boring bit is done] I have some thick card for the covers and am debating if I should use a slim card for A,B,C... pages or just have inner pages, not sure yet. I have decided to spray and mask the covers and maybe some stamping I will see what happens as it evolves.
Gardening was good this morning, the weather here was fabulous. Will get out there again tomorrow, but will need to interrupt it to make chocolate brownie to take to a barbeque tomorrow night.
I miss everyone up there too Trisha. Hey did you think about using tags as dividers? Pick a size that will stick out beyond your other pages. Just a thought...
