My "Emie" (budgie) has made it through the night! I'm amazed! I slept with her right next to me on the bed in a little box with a couple of small towels and covered with a towel. She kept rolling over onto to her back and would have had me hold her ALL night I think but by 1pm I was soooo tired I kissed her and said she could "go" if it was all "too much" (I'm sure she must have been in a lot of pain) well....

She woke me at 4am fluttering around and proceeded to eat some millet! She's still not out-of-the-woods yet but I'm really happy she's made it through the night. Oh...and occasionally she chirps a little.

I'm very inspired by all the wonderful pages in the gallery and I want to scrapbook..but have got a dinner/movie date with a friend this evening so might not get alot done in between nursing/caring for my Emie-girl

Morning all.

Not much planned for today. Will go out and get lotto and then maybe pop on out to the shops for a bit and that is about it.

After that it will be scrapping for most of the day and with Missy out at a birthday party tomorrow it will be the same again.

I'm so glad your budgie made it thru the night, Julze.....hope she continues to eat and get better. I'll be looking after my little grandbaby this arve so won't be a lot of scrapping here today. Poor baby's been quite sick the last couple of days.......we've all seemed to pass this dreaded flu bug throughout us all and now it's her turn....poor darling although DD said she is a lot brighter today.

Well done Ant, what a relief!

I've walked around the lake, cleaned out cupboards in the laundry, cooked pancakes for the fam for breakfast, been to the library. Going to meet our new great-nephew soon, and drinks and nibblies with friends this evening. Might stay put tomorrow!

She is not as enthusiastic as she was yesterday so I've gone back to the TLC care..warmth, rest and honeyed water. She kept wanting to get out of the little box and walk around so I put her in a spare cage with food and water and she's been sitting on the perch etc..which is good..but she was all puffed-up so I put her back into the little box by the heater to warm her (I don't think she was too impressed lol!) but you gotta do what you gotta do. :D

I hope your budgie is doing ok Julia.

We've got our tax "done" - ie in an envelope for the accountant - this morning. Think I'll watch a movie this afternoon.

BTW our new great-nephew is gorgeous. His 5 month old and 3 year old cousin were there when we visited, so babies everywhere.
