Morning all. What are your plans for today? Here it is a veg out morning. I am going to get the first few pages of my Dec daily sorted and then we are of to to see a friend perform in a play, Alice in wonderland. After that it is the last ever christmas party at mt local where I was on the dt and teaching before they shut down.
Sounds like a lovely day Julie. Quiet day here. Will also catch up on my December daily, do some Christmas planning, maybe do a couple of album spreads. Then it's back to the ironing and getting ready for the week...
I've been making birthday cards of all things! Plus my "Just in Case" stash is getting a bit low and I think I should make some extras. I did some baking last night - think I might make some rum balls later this afternoon, and I've been doing a bit of cleaning.

Paige Mum and I went out to the Paper Makers Workship (makes life size people out of paper =extraordinary!) and had devonshire tea, went into town for a little bit of a shop - and now doing a bit of a relax.
Might sort my photos for my DDaily. Housework will be here tomorrow

OMG!!! Today is a GOOD day....
Last Monday night my beautiful cockatiel flew over my head and out the door and flew away -
I was heart-broken and with rehearsals/production etc - it was almost too much. I just have been heartsick all week. The RSPCA just rang... she's been with the firemen!!!!
She's so happy to be home, and squawks the minute I'm out of her site... she wont get off my shoulder! HAppy happy happy!!!!!!!

Thanks girls... I truly still cannot believe it!
Dh took around some beer to the firemen and had a bit of a chat. The RSPCA ladies said they'd never seen such a wonderful little bird that doesnt bite. And they fell in love with her too.
We havent clipped her wing - dh is against it - he says she's crippled enough (she has a deformed foot) without needing to be crippled by cutting her wing - and I feel the same. She loves flying around the house and I only have to call her and she flies to me - or anyone on command. At the moment she's cuddled up with dh with her head under her wing - she's exhausted.
I may have scored an extra day off later this week - after last week's marathon I feel like I need it! I have a quick trip to Brisbane this weekend then another week at work before I'm on Christmas holidays!

1 dress rehearsal done and dusted now just have to get through the windup and three performances and dancing is over for the year.
I was all set to have Missy in meltdown mode when it came to having to have her eyes done. Needs to wear glitter and she hates getting it put on but with some (bribing) or positive reinforcing we made it through although when we put on the costume it started as the inside of it was itchy. The fussing, tears and noise started and we ended up having to take it of and put her leotard on under it. With a few pins and some creative covering we will mange to pull it off.

ooh brings back memories of my last couple of weeks! Good luck with the concerts!
Have you bought Missy a body suit? its just a flesh coloured leotard thingy- all my ballerina's wear them under their leotards and under costumes etc... saves the itchies and you wouldnt have to pin which can be a big dangerous if one flicks open in the middle of a dance.
You should be able to get one from any dance shop or online in time for the concerts.
I'm home almost alone tonight. The little man is in bed and DH is heading out so I think there is a good chance of some scrapping happening. I'm off to check out the challenges now.
