Ingredients:
You will need:

1 portrait 6x4 photo
I've cut the figure out of mine - but the full pic is great too!

3 double-sided papers -
You will use both sides of each, one needs to be quite dark as this will be your border. The others I have a mix of plain side and muted patterns in pastels. If you dont want to do double-sided, then have 3 single papers and scraps. All in all they need to work all together pattern and colour-wise to your taste.

Trims, ribbon, crochet strips, fabric strips and laces (choose any for example)
These need to vary in length between 8-10inches. How many doesnt matter but when laid out horizontally, one under the other, the depth should be about 4 1/2inches.

2 lengths of string or twine -
approx 11 inch and 12 inch

Alpha or title
Mine is a chipboard title of 'Happy Easter' which I painted beforehand

5 small buttons

Embellies
Choose what will go with our LO, I've got a little bunny and chicken diecut (cut from a cricut I think)

Distresser.
===============================

RECIPE:

Step One:
Choose the three paper sides that will stack on top of the other - which will be in various sizes.... one will be your darkest paper - thats your base - a 12x12.
Don’t stick anything down in this step.
The next paper to put on top of the dark 12x12 needs to be cut to 4mm shorter on all sides. That should leave a tiny edge right the way round. (OR cut 8mm off two sides if it doesn’t affect a pattern)
The third paper needs to be cut 21cms x 26cms (place portrait style)
All papers need to be centred on the dark paper.

Step Two:
Distress the edges of all three papers, then cut out the centres of the dark and second paper so you can use the undersides later. Just make sure the holes you cut out are not visible when you stack and centre all the papers on top of each other. Of course you don’t cut anything from the top smaller cut paper!
Now you can stick these down.
(distressing is optional!)

Step Three:
6 ½ cms from the bottom edge of the LO, lay your trims/ribbons/laces/fabric strips horizontally across your LO and centre them in the middle (and it doesn’t matter if the length edges are not all level – mine aren’t) and stick down.
(all 4 ½ inches of it)

Step Four:
Either
Cut a mat for your photo from one of the cut out pieces of the double-sided papers in Step One and mat (using the reverse side)
or if you have cut a figure from a photo – cut a rectangle a bit bigger than a 6x4 (or suitable size) to mat it with.
Distress

Step Five:
Stick your photo and mat down to the right or left of the LO (whatever is suitable)so that there is a bit of the bottom of the photo past the bottom of the group of trims and the same with the top....

Step Six:
We’re going to make a banner!
With your scraps from the cut-outs of the original papers of Step One:
choose which colours/patterns will be suitable for the following:
hand draw 5 triangles approx 4cms along the base and 6cms for the two sides to its point and cut out.
Then cut 5 more slightly bigger ones to mat them with using reverse sides or any scraps. Distress each triangle and stick the little triangle to the larger one with the base edges flush and lined up together.

Step Seven:
Stick the banner pieces in a shallow semi-circle fashion approx from the top corners of the LO quite evenly and centred (centre the middle triangle and work outwards) and glue the shorter piece of string flush along the top edges (the orginal bases) of the triangles, then a glue the longer piece of string about 6millimetres (not cms!) down and parrallel from the top string which will lie across all the triangles. Stick your buttons just underneath the second piece of string on each triangle.

Step Eight:
Place your title at the top along the banner and pop in a little journaling block or write directly onto your LO.
(I journaled along the top edge of my trims both sides of the photo)

Step Nine:
Place any of your embellies to the side of your matted photo to finish!!

and TA-DA………. FINISHED!!

Thank you sooooo much for this separate thread.
Makes it so much easier to find the instructions in one swoop!
We made it home safely from our holidays and am trying to get unpacked and ready for back-to-school tomorrow morning.
I hope to make a start on this as soon as the chaos dies down a little.
I did manage to get a few layouts scrapped while we were away during a couple of the rainy days we had.
I hope everyone had a lovely and safe Easter.
Hugs, Linda xx
