Happy Friday Everyone.
I hope you have all had a wonderful week. I thought we might get the mojo going this week and do a challenge. A nice easy one though...
My challenge to you is to make a card for some one you love. It doesn't have to be a Valentine's Day card. Maybe you have an anniversary coming up, or a special friend who you just love to bits because they are well, just them.
Upload your card into the gallery by the 28th Feb and I will choose a random winner who will get a special Scraptherapy 10% Gift Voucher.
Here are my two examples.. One is a card for my hubby and the other is for a friend.
I have used a die to make the base of my cards. Here are a few quick steps to show you how I did it.
1 Fold your cardstock or paper in half, and cut to the approximate size of your die.
2.Place your card/paper down on your die. Move your folded edge down ever so slightly from the top of your die, we dont want it to cut through at the top edge. If you wanted to do a side opening card, you would just put the folded edge on the left hand side, and move it in slightly, as to not cut through. The ruler is just to show your where the top and side of my die are. Top opening:

3. Place your die between your cutting plates as normal .
That is a very cute way to make a card with a die Karen - thanks for sharing - have never thought of doing that - I am going to have a play with some other ideas
And girls you say how would you make an envelope for this size card - have any of you seen these yet

I've popped mine in the gallery here. I am no card maker - I could count on 1 hand how many I have made - so be kind. I thought I would pop this one in the post to my little grand-daughters - just because - and they love getting mail.

Ohh Deb, that is just too cute!! And as for the not a card marker.. pfft, I think you've done a fantastic job!! ( i don't think of myself as a card maker either lol )
