OK....so by the time we've had a few scrappy days, we've all got scraps and usually heaps of them. Put them to some use and scrap a LO ahead of time so when you have the right photo or run out of time and need to get a photo scrapped, then a LO is done for you. ![]() I sorted out my little bits of left overs from my Teresa Collins projects and decided to do something with the black/white/grey coloured pieces. Because I didn't think I had enough, I then went to my scrap box and pulled out anything that might co-ordinate with these ...... some black and cream, washed out whites etc and cut them into "rough" squarish/rectangle shapes. I inked around the edges but no need to do this. Now you need to grab some cardstock. ![]() I just laid some glue over the cardstock BUT if you don't want this glue to show (and you'll see why later) then you will need to put the glue on the back of each little scrap of paper and glue them down that way. ![]() SO start glueing......just put them down randomly and don't worry about the gaps. Just a tip........DON'T CORNER YOURSELF..... spread them out over the page don't just do one section at a time COZ if you run out of little squares then you can find another piece of paper and cut that up to blend it throughout the LO iykwim. (I ran out of squares so had to bring in some black and white spot paper to throw thoughout the LO to blend it all in. You will still have gaps though....don't need to fill it all in. ![]() Now we bring in the paint..........if you don't want to paint then you can just leave as is BUT this is why you needed to put the glue on the back of your shapes and be a bit neater so that the glue won't show. (the paint hides the glue) ![]() OK paint away between the gaps........very roughly and go right around the outside edge too. ![]() Now just get a pen and do some random doodling......in the gaps and on some of the shapes. ![]() Because your background is "full on" there is no need to do anything fancy - I have cut a piece of scrap paper to the size of the photo that i would usually scrap (I have a bit of a stockpile of those white inserts from the albums so I use these) and positioned some lace etc under where the photo will sit being careful not to "attach" your trims to the 6x4 piece where your photo needs to go. Now all you need to do is add your title somewhere on the LO when you find the photo you want to scrap and do a little bit of journalling. (you can add a journalling spot now if you want. ) Of course you can add more to it later if you don't think it's enough.........but it's enough for now. ![]() HAVE FUN! |

Thanks girls. I'd love to see what you all create from this. I always seem to have little scraps that I really love and are not really big enough for anything much at all. So I've decided now rather than letting them pile up I might just start creating some LO's with them. I know a lot of the girls use their leftovers from LO's for a card but as I'm not a cardie I thought I might start giving this a go instead of letting my scraps pile up. |
