For my background I have used BoBunny Learning Curve (letters) and have cut strips of varying widths from scraps left over from my monthly projects.
Give your strips a few different types of edges eg punched, sanded, get out those decorative scissors, rolled and torn. Some I've done only 1 edge and the sanded ones I have done all edges. Ink around the strips in the one coloured ink.
Image

I've wiped over the background pp with a Tim Holtz distress stain (weathered wood)....luv luv luv this one.
Image

Decide where your photos will go (I've also added a TH envelope to my page).
Image

Then swipe over some paint where your title will go (You don't need to do this.......I did because the background is busy).
Image
and add your title if you have decided on one.
Image

Lay your strips in clusters (that's the best way I can describe it) overlapping each other, in the gaps around your photos and then fully along the bottom edge, all at different heights. Rather than cut my strips to the proper lengths, I have them hanging off the edges of the base paper and when it's completely dry, just turn the base over and cut off the overhanging bits.
Image

I've distressed the edge of my LO and inked in Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink, doodled a messy border, added twine to my envelope and cut some flowers from one of my papers to decorate the envelope.
Image
and added some buttons here and there.
Image
I've added some journalling lines to one of the larger strips.

Have fun .................
I'll draw a name from the entries in the gallery folder at month's end and pop a little RAK in the mail to the winner.

This is a really cute idea Deb - I'll have to add it to my "to do" list. It's getting quite long - thank goodness there are still 2 weekends left to the month!

I had lots of fun doing this one although it reminded me I don't have any edge punches so I tore & sanded the edges of most of them. Great way to use the scraps I seem to be accumulating...

I don't have edge punches either Christine so mine are all cut with decorative-edged scissors. I don't use them much so felt very virtuous using them for this!

I had to pull my decorative scissors out from my grand-daughter's stash that she has here. I gave them to her as I hadn't used them for ages.
