Vitali87.
Wonderful to meet a fellow shutter sister
In regards to your focal length question it's 21mm on my 17-40mmL Canon wide angle lens. I've used a .9 ND Graduated filter so I can correctly expose the foreground without blowing the sky. Other details for your interest are ISO 50. Shutter 5 seconds. F22. Tripod. Remote Trigger. Mirror lockup on.

Don't forget ladies that if you'd like a shot critiqued, pop it right here in this thread and you only need to ask.
I'm noticing a few shots that more like sunset shots rather than sunflare shots in the gallery folder.
Try to get that ray of light coming into the camera from above rather than the reflection of light off the sea. That's technically not a sunflare. More like bounced light from a reflective surface.
Sunflare looks like a bit of lightish yellowish mist coming from the top of the frame down into the picture. You can get this by not pointing directly at the sun, rather than to just one side of it.
Does that make sense??
keep at it girls so you can get into the 'Shoot it, Scrap it' challenge for September which goes live tonight.

Hey Gypsy. You have got it in the second shot. See that light haze on the left of the shot. That's sun flare. Don't worry about the tree not being lit up with flash or light. You've got the concept of sun flare. Have another try, say with a leaf of that tree, with the sunflare creeping in. You'll need flash to light up the leaf. Just try a smaller subject with the same idea of the sun off to the side.
the best thing is that profits made from sale of the boots go to Breast Cancer WA. Purple is their colour there. And I'd order 2 sizes bigger than what you need. I'm a 4 and a half in Rossi's and these are 6.5.

check your manual as the answer is there. you just need to sit down with it, with your camera in your hand. Set up settings as you read along to get the gist of it.
