Ok...so I get a phone call yesterday from the shop that sells my soap..and they've all but sold out, can I restock ASAP. I say yes..and then discover I need to print out a few new soap labels. Press PRINT...ah, colour cartridge is running out and the labels look terrible. So I whip out the cartridge...tell Cameron I'm just popping into town to get ink for the printer. Oh and I'll pick up petrol for the lawn mower while I'm out. I've be wanting him to mow the "jungle" out there since all the rain

So I get into town and walk over to where Cartridge World is (they refill your ink for a fraction of the cost) and the man says to me, "It's already been filled once" and he doesn't recommend a second fill. I need to buy a new cartridge @ $75NZD (and he'd have to order them in as my printer is an old one and he doesn't stock the cartridges any more)...OR I could go buy a NEW printer (for another $20) that has separate chambers and more economical to refill. He even goes on to tell me they are on sale at 100% Barrells at the moment...

So off I go over to Barrells Appliance Store and ask for the printer and he shows me it. While he is doing this, I ask him if he'd like to sell me a DSLR. He says "WHY.....OF COURSE!" So he checks out to see if I can get it financed...and I have to wait 10 mins. I go get lunch because all this shopping has made me hungry!

and guess what???









They APPROVED it!! So I am now the PROUD owner of a DSLR (and a new printer of course)...and I'm VERY happy!!

so yeah...Merry Christmas to me!

seeeeee Just what you needed to hear

We all need to spoil ourselves from time to time.

You'll have so much fun! I'm still playing with Dad's camera - still not sure on all the manual settings yet but I'm working on it. Meanwhile Adam's buying me a new laptop for Christmas (totally unplanned) before my old one completely dies (it's currently turning itself off randomly).

My P and S is doing similiar things, Christine. It's really frustrating when your trying to get the "perfect pic"...one of the reasons for needing a new camera.
