As I have never used any of the stains before, I had a little bit of fun playing around with them this month and found that when used over paint, they have a nice subtle effect.

On both of these layouts I have used 'Antique Linen Stain' over a cream paint.

On this one I have used dots and lines in a diagonal pattern over my painted paper following the pattern underneath.

Using:
Tim Holtz
Antique linen Distress stain
Hardware findings die cut
Walnut stain ink
Clear rock candy

Websters:
Hollywood vogue stardom paper
Garden gala celebrate life paper
Designer trim
Little story tellers letters sweet holiday

Other:
Aqua Champange flowers

Here I have used the stain in the same way giving the paint a few random swipes down the page and the odd few dots as well.

Using:
Tim Holtz
Antique linen Distress stain
Journaling tickets
Clear rock candy
Walnut stain ink

Websters:
Seaside retreat A seahorse's legend
Hollywood vogue stardom paper
Journaling card set lifes portrait

Other:
Fabric Thickers coloured with distress stain.

Hope you have fun playing with your distress stains.

Love how well you incorporate Tim Holtz with the Websters and take it from Grunge to downright pretty - great work - thanks for the inspiration Julie

These are beautiful Julie. Tim has very much a grungy style, but some of his colours are really quite pretty.
