I have a Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered florals die and have used it to make a cute little flower to add to one of Missy's plain hairbands.

Here are the steps I took to make it.

Cut out the flowers.
Image

Fold flower in half and then one petal into the middle tacking the point together.
Image

Add in the rest of the folded and tacked petals tacking them to the others as you go around.

Embellish the center.

Add a backing to hide the stitching and then a safety pin.

Here is Missy wearing her new band.

If you have made up flowers using this die we would love to see them.

I think I'll need to make a few of these to take home with me next time - there are a couple of 3 year old ballerinas I know who'd love flowers for the hairs (in tu-tu pink of course!).

Did you use the die in your big shot? does it cut material?

Helen any of the Bigz dies should cut fabric (depending on the thickness I guess) - I use the tattered florals die in my cuttlebug and it will cut without trouble.
