I've seen written 'I cant used themed paper' or 'I'm just not into themed paper'.

I actually find it hard to use patterned paper and am not always sure what to do with it - but give me a theme - like Christmas, and I've found a purpose... for instance November's Blind Scrap using MME Lost and Found Christmas Santa Paper (this particular paper is now sold out)

(The very background paper and the presents is KaiserCraft Dear Santa Collection Doll House paper.)
Extending photos past their intention and becoming part of the rest of the layout, telling a story like Hannah here - saying 'Hey Santa' and the little pic of Santa rubbing his head - and her singlet top saying 'I'll be good next year'. To be honest - the only things added to this LO is the baubles, and the presents..... the MME paper did the rest.

Sometimes I cut the figures out of photos (replaceable ones) and put them into a story like this paper BoBunny Noel Joy from the November Rooms Challenge. The journaling is written along the spine of one of the books

So next time you look at a themed paper - think about its possibilities. Its fun! :P

That looks awesome. I had got that paper for the scrap head. I know what to do. I love your work.

PS I need the internet up and running at home.

THanks Ladies,

That's fabulous Kay - so glad you've been able to take something away from this little technique talk - I love playing with theme paper (as you can tell!)

I hope you'll show us what you can do!
