I've had some fun playing with the FP Summers End (the colours in this range are devine) filter paper embellishments. These filter papers are similar to that of a coffee filter. It feels a little like a strong version of tissue paper if that makes sense. They are quite durable.
On this first LO I've used a large filter paper for a photo matt and added a flower embellie made from the 2 smaller papers.
and on this LO I've cut the smaller filter papers to add as embellies on the edge of my LO and added a flower made from the large filter paper.
I've scrunched and inked the 2 smaller filter papers.........
folded them 3 times in half and twisted the bottom.....
opened them up and taped the twisted bottom part.........
then tah dah you have a flower just waiting for a centre..........
using the largest filter paper, I've folded it in half 3 times and cut about an inch off the top edge.........
Gathered it up with a large hand stitch in the centre......I was a little worried about sticking it with a needle and thread but these papers are quite strong and showed no signs of tearing when I was stitching it.
and popped a piece of double sided tape on the back to hold it.......
then with the other piece of the filter paper, I've cut a scalloped edge with some scissors........
and made it up like the top flowers, twisting and taping the bottom and opening it out.
and this is them made up with button centres..........
