This LO just evolved and I didnt have any idea how it was going to turn out Does this happen to you?
The one thing about MME papers is they work so well together! Here's it is..
Here's how I created it... (sorry about the lighting - but taking the step by step part - was at night and as I was going along had no idea what the next step is )
Cut up a lot of little strips from left over scraps and place in a line along the bottom of the background paper
Then wasnt happy with just one line of strips... and kept cutting until there was four lines of strips and it filled the whole background paper! At this stage I was preeeeetty sure this was overkill and I'd stuck it all down (didnt want to be lifting them all off to glue later - what a nightmare eh?! ) .... but then got an idea
Out came the gesso (or white paint will do the same job) and I started to slap the paint on At this stage I was pretty happy at how it was calming all the pattern down and making sure that I kept some of the patterns and colours showing around the edges
Next morning (with better lighting to photograph in ) added the embellies - love the taupe coloured bauble trim and the yellow-green bows are seam binding
The little MME labels- some have the 'ribbon' effect already cut out of them, and some dont. So made sure that all of them had that 'v' cut out of the ends of them.
