Using the Teresa Collins Everyday Moments range, I've started an album for 2012 to capture, month by month, special thing/s that have happened each month. This will be an ongoing project and I've only done the basics for each page and will decorate them as I scrap the moments. It's along the lines of our December daily albums that some of us did and remembering my biggest problem with that was overdecorating the pages before the event, so I have my packet of left overs all ready to make this an ongoing project for the year.
I've actually cut the album covers down a bit to get a rectangular album. I've cut 1 1/2" off the side of the covers so that it is now 8" x 6 1/2". You need to punch the holes in the album covers yourself although the rings are supplied.
I cut my 12 x 12 papers in halves (6x12) and created a pocket by folding up the bottom to make a 6" x 7 1/12" page. So I made 4 fold up pages which is 8 pages (front and back having one side with a pocket and one without) and added 2 kraft cardstock pages 6" x 7 1/2" just to break things up a bit and so that I could still have some patterned papers for decorating. I ended up machine stitching around all of the pages. This holds the pockets together and adds a bit of texture to the pages.
So the inside cover looks like this......
and January..........I've added bits and pieces of my trip to see Mary Poppins
and then matted the photo of us about to head off to the show, written the story of the trip on the back of the matted photo and just popped it in the pocket.
and then we had a special birthday in February........
I'm still to do the page for March. We have an anniversary coming up right at the end so I'm guessing that will be my moment for the month of March.

Love it - I love the journal type albums. Yellow green is normally my style, but I'm actually not sure about this one - have to see it in the flesh, so to speak. Love what you've done with it though!
The papers are beautiful Helen! I've had my eye on this range for my travel album, although knowing me I'll probably change my mind a few times before I actually buy something! There's a matching stamp set with that flower in it that I'd love too
