I've been lucky enough to watch Louise Nelson in action, and as we all know she's the Aussie Misting Queen. So I'd love to show you how she uses Mists to recolour elements or embellishments on a LO.
I've used white paper leaves that I wanted recolour to cream to suit the hues of the LO. So taking a piece of baking paper as my waterproof area to work on, a brush, a bottle of 'Old Lace' Glimmermist and the leaves, I set to work.
It takes all of 5 mins to do this, but overnight for the result to dry.
Set out your leaves on the Baking Paper and your brush.
Shake the bottle of Glimmermist to distribute the mica (glitter) within the liquid.
Open the bottle and dip your brush into it while its still swirling.
If its settled, lower the brush to the bottom of the bottle to pick up the mica on the bristles. The brush really doesn't absorb much of the liquid as the paper leaves draws most of it out.
Paint the leaves.
I tried to dry the leaves with my heatgun without much luck as they were fairly wet. So I just left them sitting on the Baking Paper overnight.
Done. And its as easy as that.
