| Post subject: | Trick Or Treat Card |
Happy Friday !! Hope you have all had a wonderful week.. I have a halloween card to share with you this week.. I've used some of the fantatic new Tim Holtz Dies and Carta bella paper again for this.. For my card base i've used black card weighht paper as the card base itself, and stitched a border around the pattern paper piece that i have used as my background. I've also cut the spider web that i used in the corner our of a journaling card. ![]() Here are a few little step by step instructions on how i made my house: Step 1: I die cut three different colours on paper using the awesome new Brick Wall Die - gotta say I love this die! ![]() I choose a colour to be my grout for the bricks and popped all the bricks out of this piece - They are very easy to pop out. ![]() Step 2: I used my second colour - this time i used the red, and popped out random bricks here are there all over the place. ![]() Our final colour - Piece number three i left all my bricks intact, - i didn't pop any bricks out - this will act as our base piece. Step 3 : I then carefully turned my red piece over and covered it with glue - i find a glue stick works best for this, and stuck it down on top of the base piece - the piece with no bricks popped out. ![]() ![]() Step 4: this is the last step.. stick down the grout piece - The one with all the bricks popped out - on top of the other two pieces. ( the blueblobs are just my blue glue stick..) ![]() and ta Dah you have one very trendy looking brick wall!! ![]() Step 5: I diecut a piece of white paper using the rickety house die, then using this as a template I cut my brick wall strip into pieces and stuck them down on a piece of chip board to cover the whole shape of the house, ![]() and then die cut the chipboard with the rickety house die.. You then have a house made from bricks ![]() I then cut the house again from a scrap piece of chipboard painted black, cut the roof, and the bottom off, and stuck them to the house, and put some inked cardstock behind the windows. ![]() Step 6: I added in some more diecut pumpkins, bats, trick or treat words and a few of the little kids ![]() Products Used: Tim Holtz - Brick Wall Tim Holtz - Halloween Shadows Tim Holtz - Rickety House Distress Ink - Wild Honey Distress Ink - Rusty Hinge Carta Bella - Spooky Damask Carta Bella - Curosity Cards I cut the spider web in the corner off this Carta Bella - Black Tim Holtz Seasonal Paper Pad - Currently out of stock |
