Here is your sketch and challenge for this month.
Along with using the sketch as a starting point for your layout or two card set you will need to create your own background to use as a base for your project.
And here are the steps I used to create my background.
Sorry about the not so great quality of some photos. Still trying to work out the best place/time to take my step pics.
Step one. Swipe Antique linen ink pad down the stamping paper unevenly.
Step two. Give it a light spray with water and wipe down the paper with a paper towel. This blends and softens the ink on the paper.
Step three. Repeat step two but leaving spaces between downward swipes. Spray and wipe again.
Step four. Add in touches of Vintage photo to areas of your background and edges. Spray and wipe again.
Step five. Randomly stamp around the edges of your back ground using Vintage photo. Repeating the spray and wipe action. As I didn't want a perfect stamped image I left the stamp on its plastic backing.
Step six. Gather your paper elements. I used parts of the collage print from this paper in the Almanac A4 paper pad. Using the paper towel that you used on your background ink them lightly. If you are using a black and white photo like I did you can ink the edges of it it give it a sepia tinge.
Now you have your background, your paper elements and photo all ready it is time to put them all together and embelish your creation.
You have until the end of the month to load you project up into the gallery to be in the running for a rak from me. I will get my walking number generator, Asher to pick out one lucky winner from both my sketch and card challenge entries and if you manage to do both you will have two chances to win.
I am going to Try and do this. I need to extend my horizon. I don't have much here so I am going to shop to experiment with this for christmas cards collection. I know I am a dag, but its fun and you buy the cheap packs of cards with different fronts.
