Okay girls with just 6 weeks to go it is time to start thinking about some pre-retreat stuff.

One of the things we are making at retreat (one of the classes) is a altered 6 x 6 modern album - which could easily be used for a great recipe book.

Just wanted to check to see if anyone would be interested in doing a recipe swap. You would need to do 20 recipe cards all the same and we can swap them out at retreat - you can either do them prior to retreat or bring them along to retreat and do them there. The recipe theme for this one would just be your favorite recipe.

If any of the non retreat girls would like to play along you are welcome to do so, you would just need to send me your recipes before retreat, along with a self addressed, pre-paid envelope.

I do love the idea of this but not sure if I would have time to do something nice for everyone! If there are nearly enough takers I'll join in

I am interested too. I would have to make them at retreat though as I am travelling at the moment.

I actually thought a few of the girls might like to do them at retreat Ronnie just as something to do rather than worrying too much about coming up with a zillion different projects for the weekend

Generally what happens is you make one 6in x 6in recipe card, then duplicate it 10 or 20 times (depending on the number in the swap) ...then you swap one card with each person ...so you should get back 10 or 20 different recipe cards (including one of your own)

i have actually made a 10 x 10 album for my mother inlaw so when i have spares i just use the 6x6 recipe on a 10x 10 backing and add a few embellishments ...and dud dar .....i have an easy mothers day gift =) which she just adds to her album

thanks miss Sammi - I think we would like to aim for 20 for this one and if we dont get enough participants then I will just be making a whole huge bundle of recipe cards to make up the numbers

Theme for this one will be favorite recipe.

I also have some recipe cards here from a swap we ran a long while ago that sort of fell apart because not everyone participated - I was going to swap those in as well
