A bit late but here are a few I took on Saturday.

I like them both. Great use of the path as the leading line. A curved line is so soothing on the eye rather than a straight linear one. And having your daughter running into the back of the pic shows the depth of the shot.

I really like the first one. It feels inviting to walk thru the gate and wander down the path to the light house. Gives great depth to the shot. Did you have a go bending down to get a different perspective and get the whole of the two gate posts in?? The horizon only very slightly dips to the left a fraction.

I do really like the second shot as well. I like the lighting and how the light bends around the lighthouse to give it the 'round' feeling. Dimension ++. The leading line of the walkway to indicate the door and the wonderfully straight horizon. Nice bit of wave action to give interest and cloud in the sky as well. Winner.

The third shot is a good pull back to give the lighthouse a sense of place in the location, but I do prefer the other two overall.

thanks Tiff yes it was the new camera

the gatway is all that is left its been rebuilt to replace the orgainal one and cottage that are long gone I have some with the whole fence but there was a rubbish bin in those so I thought this one was better there was one I liked better but it was closer inside the fence and the fence is sort of part of the history of the site

the tourist infor said it was 400m but the sign out there said well over 1k so I was really lucky I made it at all

It's was well worth the effort Gypsy.

You've come a long way with what you are 'seeing' and composing the shot, and noticing all the little details before you take that shot (the bin for example!)

keep at it mate. The best shots all take an effort. They will NEVER come to you, you have to get OUT there to get them.

what a beautiful part of the world Gypsy - great photos - TFS - I know that even though the landscape part of the comp is finished I am sure it means a bundle to Tiff that people are still getting heaps out of her tutorials that she is doing for us

thanks everyone I do have have 100's more, this has really given me an interst in something for the first time in a long while just wish I wasn't so resticted in what I could do would love to learn more and be able to use a better camera
