I recently did a layout of my son as a baby titled "A Face only a mother could love"
I walked into the room to get him out of his cot and he was covered in vomit with a big cheesy grin. Just had to go get the camera before I got him up.
He's now 25 years old, and I'm scrapping all his baby photos out of the old magnetic album.
It's funny that only kids can smile thru spew. Damn sure that as an adult I wouldn't be smiling.... at all.
Good for you getting those photos out of the old albums.
Can I suggest a tip for you.
Rather than try to carefully pic the photos out which may tear or bend, grab yourself a length of dental floss. Carefully get it under one corner and slowly, carefully work your way under the photo from one end to the other. It should then 'pop' up for you to use. Saves damaging photos that cant be replaced and possibly be already in a fragile condition.
Thanks Tif. I went to the expense of buying some stuff from the local scrapbooking shop that 'melts' the glue and they lift out well. I have taken some out of albums in the past before I got into scrapbooking and ruined them, so knew not to just pull them out.
Thanks for the tip though, I'll keep it in mind for future times.
I put a photo of the page I mentioned in my gallery if you want to take a look. I used a PageMaps sketch to do it. Took me forever!!!
Kind of put me off the idea of following sketches, but plan on trying some of the sketch challenges on here more, to encourage myself.
