Gee who thought it would be so hard to get an action shot
This time I used my horse as the subject and much to his disgust made him run about a bit   Don't think I have it right but here is the best of my attempt today! will keep on trying, what do you think Tiff?

mate. this is a cracker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! notice that you have him in the air (all four hooves off the ground) that only happens in such a split second during his gait, and you've caught it. (I'm a bit of a horsey chick as well  )

Crisp, the dust shows his forward motion, his slight angle to the camera gives him dimension and shape.

I love this.

Only thing to be picky about is the white hot spots. Have a go converting the shot to BW, make it high key (bright whites with only the darker tones still showing) and I reckon you could have a corker BW shot.

so well done.

great vibrant colours Gypsy. try cropping it in the portrait orientation (up and down) so you can lose most of the distracting background. Try to crop it so she is on the right side of the frame. This then gives her room to 'move into the shot'.
I'd love for you to repost the cropped shot so the other shutter bugs can see what I mean, if that's ok with you.

Her hair being blown back shows forward movement. I do love how her helmet has come down over her eyes. sweet.

Tiff :)

is this what you meant Tiff ?

Helmet over the eyes seems to happen most of the time :) often wonder if they can see where they are going

perfect Gyspy. and you've kept all her shadow in the shot too.

well done. can you see how this makes her more important in the shot by losing the background clutter??
