When I did my dt order for Basic Grey I added in one of the Doily die cut papers thinking to do some masking with them and that is what I did.

I cut it down to 6x12 and with a little bit of double sided tape at the top and bottom put it over another 6x12 piece of paper. Then the fun began. I squirted some paint straight onto the papers then spread it out unevenly with a piece of cardboard scrap. Once I had the effect I wanted I carefully separated the papers and put them aside to dry. Once dry I used the 6x12 paper that was under the doily as a base for my layout and I used pieces of the doily on a card set.

Aim high.

I just love the effect that this has created.

I still have some of the doily left over and am going to play around with some misting and maybe even some texture paste too.

Using Basic Grey.

If you have used the doily papers as a mask before we would love to see it.

Gorgeous - love the idea. Again, great bang for your buck! I am always looking for ideas to stretch the supplies further.
