This month I've worked on an 8 1/2" x11" page (landscape orientation) of Kraft cardstock. I've cut 6 x10 1/2" long strips of different widths (depending on the size of your scraps).
Distressed and inked the edges of the strips (and the cardstock base) and laid them across the page and stuck them down when I was happy with how they looked and the spacings.
I've then cut out 4 different sized circles (2 of each) from a completely different scrap of paper just by drawing around different sized lids and roughly cutting them out.....no need for a perfect circle. Distress and ink the edges.
then scrumple them up.....
and add a small drop of glue to the centre of each working your way from largest to smallest on top.
when the glue dries, cut them in half or close enough to half and give the cut edge an ink if you've been inking.
Decide where your photo will go and add a scrap of lace to the bottom of it and add your cut circle flowers to the edge of the strips.
Then you can cut 6 or more strips from any scrap paper that will blend in and put them randomly over the larger background strips and add some buttons to your circle flowers.
You can mount this 8 1/2" x 11" page on a 12 x 12 if you prefer that size.
Have fun ................. I'll draw a name from the entries in the gallery folder at month's end and pop a little RAK in the mail to the winner.
There are no hard and fast rules with the scrap ahead challenges Sarah - you can do this however you please - it is a just for fun challenges and Deb will have a little RAK for someone but just do whatever takes your fancy

Cool. I'm loving the look of this and will try to give it a bash. My rak arrived on wednesday and I've already used some of it. Perfect for the 123 challenge. With the mint colouring. Will post on my blog tonight. Thanks again. Xoxoxo
