Hi there, I often find my layouts are just a little too chunky to fit into ordinary scrapbook albums. I have just done a layout with paper rosettes and don't want to have the rosettes squashed or damaged when I put the layout away. How do you ladies store these chunky layouts? Maybe I shouldn't use a conventional album. I have heard of scrapbookers making up their albums using big ring-binder files. Any suggestions??

Hi Jannee, I use the ring binders only and then stand them up on a shelf with the spine facing up towards the ceiling (so the LO's kind of 'hang' in the plastic sleeves if that makes sense), its the only way I've found that best stores the chunky LO's..

Ok, that seems the way to go. Do you get ring-binders then to fit 12 x 12 pages??

Look at the albums in the shop there are albums for 12x12 layouts that have rings like binders and they are quite large so you have plenty of room for those thicker layouts. I have one and it is great. :)

I've not heard of them being stored wit the spine up before I may have to try that out with mine. I do find that I tend to have less sleeves in my albums when there are alot of chunky pages.

The WeR Memory Keeper albums are the way to go - they are well priced and come with 10 refills - do yourself a favour and grab an extra 10 - they will easily keep 20 in each and 30 for the not so dimensional layouts - you can find them here http://www.scraptherapy.com.au/products.php?cat=646 - remember if you order over $100 postage is free

Pleasure Jannee

on the standard ringbinders, just watch that the join in the ring is nice and smooth - I pulled apart an old office folder once and turned it into an album and the join kept catching the refill holes - if that makes sense - drove me insane - ended up throwing it away so just run your hands over and make sure you cant feel anywhere for anything to catch - would love to see what you make if you end up making one
