Hi Tiff lol you need to employ my sister not me :)

I haven't noticed much of a delay but my arms are pretty stuffed so not sure I would on some setting there is a delay on gettting up the picutre after taking and some setting will only let you use some of the fuctions in them. really haven't had much of a chance to use it outside yet weather here has been horrid and still working it out not sure about the macro but that might be driver error

thanks Gypsy. praps ask your sister to take a couple of shots of you for the portriat month. or you take them of her.

have a wine or two to loosen up and just play with it.

and ask her about the delay thing. That's my main sticking point with any camera I'll get.

oh and what sort of memory card is it????

mwah.

Hi Tiff memory card is standard SD card

not sure I am much help with the shutter delay I would say maybe 1 second but I really have no idea or anything to compare with there is a delay on progessing in some of the functions like image stabization and a coulpe of other I can't rember right now sorry that was the worst one take the picture but then just comes up with processing for a bit still can't work out macro but that might be me

the delay is not something I notice but I have to fight so hard just to take the picture so I am not sure if it would be enough to bother you sorry don't think that was any help at all

lol. no worries Gypsy. thank you for the time to answer the question. Sounds like there is the delay that I was trying to avoid.

With digital cameras, depending on what ones, there either is the delay, or there is no delay at all. SLR's dont have a delay from pressing the button to the camera taking the shot. I guess that's one of the reasons for the price tag attached to them.

back to researching now.

It looks good, Gypsy but that's about the only advice I can give you on cameras  Someone here might have one. Great to see you getting right into photography. You are going so well with your photos. I need to get out and do more with my camera.......I keep saying this, I just need to do it.

Hello Gypsy. Just checking in while I'm away. I would google that camera model with the 'review' word and read up on what people have been saying about it. I find that a good way to get an idea if it's great or a lemon.

good luck. and yay. I'm glad to hear a tripod is now in your possession.

cheers.
