Hi Gang. I'm looking at writing the next photography tutorial for November.
I was wondering if there is anything specific that I could cover for you. I'd like to keep things fairly simple so it's achievable without special gear at this point (like remote timers or filters etc).

alrighty then. Christmas photography it is. I think I heard that loud and clear.
I'm thinking of lots of mini tutorials during the month. So it's not one big one. Lots of little things, like the important decorations on the tree, bokeh with the lights on the Christmas tree. A Christmas theme photoshoot for cards/family/blog etc.
I can then lead the same theme into December with ideas for the Christmas morning mayhem, the dinner, and getting all those shots without stress. And the little details that may be missed.
how does all this sound??? I'm looking for any feedback with ideas or suggestions.
Gypsy. A lot of what I'm thinking of can be related to other occasions so you can still take part but maybe with a different slant. ie, birthday, easter, etc etc. I'm really keen to see you what can come up with.

You know when I moved out (marriage break up) two years ago I did not have a christmas tree but what I did was get a tree branch and put it in a vase and then decorated it with the decorations that I took with me. Also I went to the fabric store and bought some blue velvet fabric with stars on it and used it as a backdrop to taking photos of my daughter with her hat on her head and decorations as earings and a bird decoration in her hand. I will find the photos to show you. Hope that will help you with some idears

Lee-Anne. Try and get the newborn shots done in the first 2 weeks from birth. The newborn is still very pliable for those sleeping shots, they sleep a lot and before those milk spots kick in.
And to be really honest, go to a well recommend photographer whose baby shots you've seen and liked and get them done. You won't regret it.
that newborn moment never comes back, and they grow so jolly quick.

lol. probably from Adelaide it would be cheaper
but include the Port Lincoln to Adelaide leg, wow....... that flight is the most expensive $ per km flight in all of Aust (so I've read somewhere). And that's what we pay all the time.
what a lovely thought tho, but would still be unable to help. We would be in the middle of our harvest here, and that's our primary focus during Nov, Dec. Everything revolves around that
