Who's interested in doing a December Daily with me!!!
This will be my 3rd year of doing one and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! After Christmas each year I put away my Dec Dailys with my decorations...and when I get them out again after not seeing them for a long time... its like the first time. They become 'coffee table books' and all the family and friends look through them... lots of laughs and reminiscing with 'I remember that'. I cant wait until I have 20years of them!! If only my mum had done this!!!! (sigh)
What is a December Daily? - It's a handmade mini-album with a page for every day up to the 25th in December (or 26th in my case cos Boxing Day is huge for my family!) It can be any size you like. We will get one ready so all you need to do is add your thoughts/photo/paraphernalia etc on each day when December rolls around!
The thing is.... it doesnt have to be a photo a day - it could be thoughts or a ticket... or a recipe, a shopping/grocery list, a hymn you heard - anything - I'm going to try do a bit more of this.
Sooooo gather all your Christmas bits together and hopefully we will have an album somewhat if not all done for when December 1 comes along!
Sounds great. I am so bad bad. I keep special cards from my family and take heaps of photos. I keep saying each year I will scrap last years christmas stuff. I love your idea. Thankyou

You wont annoy anyone... so please ask away! There is a lot of jargon used in scrapbooking, and when I read your post, it made me realise that I need to explain a bit more - so thank-you!

Here's another fabby Christmas Kit in the Shop and this one has covers - its a Teresa Collins. THe covers are a bit 'bold' with big print, and if you flip them, there is a wonderful Christmas red on the inside that can be used instead.. and the bold print can always be changed anyhow

Oh thankyou. I am hooked on your site. I am still trying to understand the wording. I don't want to annoy anyone.
I re-read it. It seams so exciting. Is it based on last year things. I love christmas.
No not last years... the structure of the album will be finished this month (hopefully) and next month you will add in everyday what happened that day - so its for Dec 2011 It doesnt have to be very big... the trick is to keep it manageable.

Now keep in mind that my this years will not look anything like this. This was actually an almost unmanageable project, bigger than my years before, and I did it as I went along in December - but I love it all the same, and you can have yours look any how you like!! Sometimes its great to just start out with no plan in mind and more often than not - they turn out the best!

And heres a bit of a peek at my very first and 2009 one.
Yes Christmas morning was so cold I had to light a fire. It hailed later that day.
My parents and their grandchildren in my back yard
The thing is.... it doesnt have to be a photo a day - it could be thoughts or a ticket... or a recipe, list anything - I'm going to try do a bit more of this. Hope this gives you an idea
YOur Dec Daily's are absolutely gorgeous, Mandy....what a joy to re-read them from the years before. I think for my first I am going to keep it really simple so that I can be sure to finish it.
