the_perfect_house_wife.pngThe Art of being the perfect housewifeThis is photo of my Nana and her firstborn - my Aunty Betty - in a knitted outfit that surely my Nana would have made - the journalling says Elsie Margaret Fagg (Richards) 1916 Give here a sewing machine she would dress her family, give here knitting needles and she would keep them warm give her an oven and she would keep them fed. TFL5 commentsOct 24, 2010	Karumba___Scrapbooking_050.JPGCC Sketch - One Pink RoomThanks for the sketch Allie The Art feature I used was decorating a girlie girl teenager's room PINK and the fact that I made the all the cushions and curtains for the room and my husband made the shelves and we bought the rug and chandelier. Which made one very happy DD. Used some very old Junkitz paper and MME & ribbons for the background. I also used some of the sparkly pink trim I used on one of the cushions.4 commentsOct 24, 2010
IMG_8649.JPGOctober CC...Sketch Challenge... 'My kind of ART'This is my take on Allie's sketch challenge. I loved the sketch BUT decided not to use p/p's as they just didnt work with the photo...Anyway I used my black signo pen and did some free-hand drawing...This is the cup and the oh so wonderful card I recieved for mothers day from no 1 grandson...I love these kind of gifts.... I made the papers myself using a variety of art techniques such as marbling, shaving foam printing, water colour pencils, salt resist and crayon resist. I also used ink and paint. Bazzill card. The owl is from 'what a hoot' pp by Kaiser and the leaves are from We R memory keepers, fiddle faddle. Please excuse wonky photo - I'm still learning how to do all these technological things!
